Perhaps you’re facing redundancy. Maybe you feel that work is taking over your life, but you have other priorities that you want to fit in. Or perhaps you feel you are not achieving your full potential, and want to use all your skills and knowledge to become even better at your current job.

Whatever your situation, career coaching could be the answer. Working with an experienced career coach can help you to:

  • Look forward to going to work
  • Find solutions to problems at work
  • Find a different career that’s perfect for you
  • Explore your strengths and build confidence

What is coaching?

Coaching can help you to make sense of your situation, clarify your thinking, and set goals for the changes you want to make. A coach does this mainly through asking questions that help you to reflect and find the answers within you. They will not tell you what you should do. A good coach is primarily a good listener who is focused one hundred percent upon you.

Our particular approach has been described as creative and intuitive. People who work with us value our insightful observations and creative methods of helping them break through mental blocks.

Coaching takes place over a series of one-to-one phone appointments held at regular intervals. This means you have a trusted friend who you can talk to regularly to maintain momentum and focus on the change you want to make. Without this regular focus, your resolutions can get forgotten in the busyness of everyday life.

How does it work?

You will have an initial FREE phone consultation with your coach?to work out what you hope to get out of coaching and to agree the best way of managing the coaching relationship to meet your needs. You will then have subsequent hour-long phone consultations at agreed regular intervals (e.g. weekly, fortnightly or monthly.) Four or five sessions are usually enough to get started, with an option of a follow up session later. You will be set homework exercises designed to help you assess your skills, values, working style, career options, etc. These will be offered to you during the consultations as appropriate to the issue you are discussing.

If you also need basic careers advice on issues such as CV effectiveness, interview techniques, and approaching the job market, this can be arranged for you.

What other people have said:

I found Carole’s innovative use of imagery and visualization, coupled with skilled listening and questioning enabled me to uncover important aspects of myself, that I’d not been consciously aware of. Even more usefully, I have been able to assimilate these and radically change for the better how work fits into my life. Thank you.

Carole was immensely supportive in acting as a coach to me during the time I was setting up my own business and transitioning from employment. Her style is one of quiet reassurance and caring. She creates a unique, safe and positive space in which to explore your issues. Over the time we worked together Carole’s gentle reminders and challenges kept me on track and ensured I achieved the goals that were on my agenda.

Thank you Carole! I am still fighting for my ideal job thanks to the energy you have given me!

Thank you so much for your help – it was a good catalyst!
